The 15-year-old "good girl" Qian Jia Yue is admitted to a prestigious high school, where she faces various academic challenges. Qian Jia Yue befriends a new, bold friend, Chen Mo, and the girls grow through their friendship. Meanwhile, the parents go through a series of life changes, including family crises and restructuring. When Qian Jia Yue’s grandmother passes away, the emotional entanglements between the three generations of women are resolved. Chen Peng Yu, who prides himself on being an elite, realizes after clashing with his rebellious daughter Chen Mo that each generation has its own "mission." Guan Ai Ping, a strong-willed woman, raises Xiao Han on her own after being laid off. "Small business owner" Zhang Qi Ming learns to get along with his mischievous son Maotou and, after many ups and downs, reconstitutes a family with Guan Ai Ping. Despite changing times, the warmth of family love and the neighborly care in the community remain constant.
